Hesitant
Why do I keep putting off the task of updating my resume? I keep on saying to myself that I'll do it, but when seated in front of my PC at home I cop out. I'm afraid. I don't want to be "out of the frying pan and into the fire" when I do move...
Chaos
I'm enjoying Avengers Disassembled a lot. Chaos Part 1 was a non-stop pageturner! Starting from when the corpse of Jack of Hearts appeared in front of the mansion, to the destruction of Avengers Mansion, to Ant-Man's death, to the crashing of the Avengers Quinjet, to the return of Ultron and duplicates of him, to She-Hulk's ripping the Vision apart into two, to her going mad, as she crashes the army jeep down on Captain America's head, to the last page which shows the mastermind behind everything that happens...
Astig!
It reminded me of how The Crossing began. The Avengers were celebrating the anniversary of their founding, and it ends with the murders of Luna's nanny, Marilla, and the Avenger Yellowjacket.
I also read "The Search for She-Hulk." And reread "The Lionheart of Avalon." Soon, I'll dig up my back issues and reread "The Beginning of the End" and "The Gatherers Saga." But I have to finish cleaning up my room first, hehe.
Reunion
Last Sunday, I met up with James and his new partner, Baby and my "pupy." Yeah, I'm sorta dating but not really. James and Baby are my childhood friends. We knew each other way back when patintero was played everyday, and we'd hang out at each other's places doing nothing. Baby moved to Davao back in High School, but she recently came back to Manila a few weeks ago. We went to Greenhills and just hung out. I had a lot of fun, as being with real friends meant you can be yourself all the time. My "pupy" was uncharacteristically quiet, which was understandable as this was the first time "pupy" met these guys. Speaking of "pupy," it's like we're dating but we're not. We like each other, but I think it wouldn't be right to commit and I think we're better of as friends. So we're enjoying the moment, and each other's company. "Pupy's" sick right now. Wish I could take care of "pupy."
That evening, I met up with other people from our barkada. Joey, his best friend Simon, and Yanni. Yanni looked even prettier now that her hair is longer. Joey is my best friend Cathy's ex, and he was going back to the States for his masters, so we had to meet up before he left. He showed us his pictures in New York, Cathy's pictures in Boston, and sheesh, he had pictures of my 1st ex 'coz they had a reunion as well. Hehehe. My ex looks the same, only less... happy? Simon kept on encouraging me to join San Miguel. It was very tempting. I think I want to apply, but I hope I pass hehe. I heard that it's hard to get into that company. Yanni and Poch got back together, so all's well and good. Joey dated someone I knew from work, so small world once again. It was fun, just catching up on how each other's lives were. Oh, and Simon has a girlfriend again! I hope this time, it's for real :) Joey recorded us as we left messages for Cathy. I think she wants to stay in the US for good.
*sigh*
Ah well. Life goes on :)
Dare
I was at UCC with Weng and Dang from work last night. They said that I notice everything that they do and find their actions funny. It's true. When I'm fond of people, I find their actions endearing. Then they said I was KSP because of this. Which I don't believe. I was a little miffed but of course I kept silent. So we had a dare. Tuesday, we won't talk to one another, react to each other, laugh at each other's jokes, just to prove that I wasn't KSP. Sheesh. They don't know how cold and apathetic I can be if I want to. It's because I choose to be warm and friendly which is why I am like this most of the time. But if I don't want to care, it's easy. It's so easy for me to cut out people from my life. The challenge for me has always been to allow people to be close to me. To allow myself to love them, as I have to a certain degree with Weng and Dang. But if they want cold, I'll give them cold.
